Medical school welcomes two new faculty members

The medical school recently welcomed two new faculty members in its departments of Biomedical Science and Emergency Medicine.

Sara Allison, PhD, has joined the Department of Biomedical Science as an assistant professor. Dr. Allison is an alumna of Grand Valley State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2015. She went on to earn her PhD in Clinical Anatomy from University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Ginger Swiderski, вÊÍø, has joined the Department of Emergency Medicine as an assistant professor. Dr. Swiderski is an alumna of Benedictine University, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Health Science in 2000. She went on to earn her medical degree from University of Illinois College of Medicine – Rockford in 2008. Dr. Swiderski completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Michigan State University Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies (now WMed) in 2011.

Before joining WMed, Dr. Swiderski served as an attending physician at Southwestern Michigan Emergency Services and Kalamazoo Emergency Associates. She also has worked at WMed as a clinical assistant professor.
